Are auger bits good for wood?
Yes. Auger bits are designed specifically for wood, cutting clean, deep holes quickly and efficiently.
Are carbide drill bits worth it?
Yes—if you drill hard materials like stainless steel, cast iron, or hardened alloys. They cut faster, stay sharp longer, and handle heat better than HSS.
Are cobalt bits better than carbide?
Not for the hardest materials. Cobalt is tougher and more forgiving, but carbide stays sharper longer and handles extreme hardness better.
Are cobalt reduced shank bits more brittle?
Cobalt is harder and more heat resistant but slightly more brittle than HSS, so avoid side pressure to prevent chipping.
Are custom or specially manufactured orders refundable?
Custom-made products are non-returnable and non-refundable, as they’re built specifically to your specifications.
Are diamond drill bits better than carbide?
For stone, tile, and glass—yes, diamond is better. For metal, carbide outperforms diamond bits.
Are diamond drill bits real diamonds?
Yes—industrial-grade synthetic diamonds are bonded to the bit’s cutting surface.
Are diamond drill bits the strongest?
For hardness, yes—diamonds are harder than any other cutting material. But they’re not always best for every material.
Are diamond drills good?
Yes, especially for hard, brittle materials like glass, ceramic, tile, and stone.
Are electric drill bits universal?
Most are, as long as they match the drill's chuck size (usually 3/8" or 1/2"). Specialty bits may need adapters.
